My Story
I'm Andrew Harding — and aviation isn't just what I do, it's who I am. I'm currently training as a helicopter engineer, working hands-on with aircraft like the AW109 and AW139. Every day I'm surrounded by the machines I've been obsessed with since childhood.
But when the hangar doors close, the camera comes out. Armed with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Gen 2 and a passion that borders on obsession, I capture the sights and sounds of vintage aviation — Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, and everything in between. The roar of a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine is the soundtrack to my life.
Project Joyce was born from a simple idea: these aircraft, these stories, these moments deserve to be captured cinematically. Not just as recordings, but as films. I want people to feel the rumble of a Spitfire start-up. I want them to sense the freedom of the open road on a motorbike adventure. I want every frame to move them.
I've filmed at some of the UK's most iconic aviation locations — IWM Duxford, Biggin Hill, Eastbourne International Airshow, Solent Airport, and more. From the Battle of Britain Memorial on the White Cliffs to formation flights of vintage warbirds, I go where the stories are.
My goal? To build Project Joyce into the go-to name for cinematic aviation and adventure content. I want to create films that honour the legacy of these incredible machines and the people who flew them — while inspiring the next generation to look up at the sky and dream.
